Junior School Council
The JSC initiative at Milgate Primary aims to encourage student leadership within our school.
The JSC consists of a group of students from Years 1 – 6, elected by their peers to lead the school in a variety of fundraising activities. In addition the JSC regularly meet to discuss relevant schoolwide student issues, and representatives from each class have the responsibility to report back to their grades about items raised at our meetings.
The promoting of JSC initiatives is the responsibility of its students, who regularly speak at Assembly and raise awareness of a particular fundraising event by displaying posters around the school.
In the past, the JSC have fundraised money by organising fun days such as Crazy Hair & Odd Shoe Days, Free Dress Days, a Disco Karaoke Party and many more!
