Individual Support
Reading Recovery (Year 1)
At the beginning of each year, students in Year One who have not reached the expected level in Reading and Writing are selected for the Reading Recovery Program.
Corrective Reading Program (Years 3-6)
Students in this program have been assessed as experiencing ‘decoding’ difficulties in Reading.
Individual Learning Improvement Plans (ILIP)
An Individual Learning Improvement Plan (ILIP) is designed to assist students who have been identified as needing extra support in Literacy and Numeracy.
Numeracy Support Programs
Numeracy Improvement Program offers opportunities for students in Years 3–6 to attend regular small group sessions focusing on the consolidation of important Mathematical skills and understandings.
Program for Students with Disabilities
Milgate PS provides access for students with Disabilities and Impairments to comprehensive, relevant and challenging educational programs.
