Prep Programs
The first year of our students’ schooling is a really important one in establishing a positive attitude to and strong routines at school.
Classrooms are warm and welcoming with a neighbouring courtyard where students can play without the fear of ‘bigger’ students invading their space. All Prep students are allocated a Grade 6 Buddy. A formal program is developed that provides a basis for a strong relationship to develop between the two students.
Parents are welcomed into the Prep classrooms through the Classroom Helper Program and also support teachers when excursions are planned involving travel outside the school. Highlights of the year are the Swimming Program, the annual Prep Breakfast and our regular Assembly performances. Regular communication is encouraged through the school diary and at formal meeting times.
