Communication
Effective communication processes are vital in building and maintaining the close relationships enjoyed between students, parents and staff at Milgate P.S.
A strong home school partnership is characterised by open and honest communication. To ensure that you are kept well informed about how your child is progressing in all areas of their schooling, the school adopts the following methods of communication with parents:
- Formal and informal meetings with teachers
- Entries in the student's diary
- Telephone conversations
- Letters/notes to parents
- Two formal written student reports (June & December)
- Principal's afternoon teas
- Public performances at school assembly and other special events
- Education Week events including Open Night
- WHAM newsletter articles
- Term Bulletins about upcoming events for each Level
We have a great band of teachers and support staff at our school all of whom appreciate the close relationships we enjoy with parents.
We welcome and value feedback from parents through the various formal and informal avenues facilitated by the school. It's great to share news of successes for your child and we're also interested in hearing how we can do things better too!
